I'm Christoph (Chris) Ploner, near Vienna, Austria. I build data services from public government records. Facade Repair Radar answers a question that takes a facade contractor an afternoon per building: a SWARMP or UNSAFE report is on file - has anyone started the repair, who wrote the report, and who manages the building?
So the work is automated: every week the DOB, HPD and PLUTO data are loaded, every case is checked against every filing and permit, and the result is checked before it goes live. The rules were tuned on 30 buildings checked by hand, filing by filing.

Facade Repair Radar is independent: not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the New York City Department of Buildings, HPD or any inspection firm. It does not sell data to building owners, does not take commissions and does not recommend contractors to anyone. Verify every filing in DOB NOW before you act.
Why a NYC data service run from Austria?
Because the work is matching public records, not walking job sites. Every dataset behind the list is published by the City of New York on NYC Open Data and can be read from anywhere; the weekly run loads ten of them, applies the same rules to every building and is checked before it goes live.
